Economic crisis and tv shows

My husband likes staying at home at his spare time. He is as content as a house cat if you leave him in front of his pc with a huge cup of coffee and an ashtray. Me, on the other hand, I'm like this a bit crazy cat that cannot possibly decide whether to stay in or go out and just as I might seem to be reading a very interesting something on my pc screen or on my kindle, I will raise my head and say "OMFG!!!! I'm bored out of my ass!!! Let's go someplace. NOW!!!". Yes, I'm that effing polite and that accurate about what I need, who are you my father? Gosh!

Anyway...the point is that my poor soul mate would look at me at those moments, sigh and...made a deal like "Let me kill those zombies today and I'll take you someplace tomorrow, I promise, I promise". So that was our life then...before the big huge austerity measures and the unemployment.
Nowadays we prefer staying indoors and watching tv series. Not that we didn't watch some the previous years or something, but now we might watch something almost awful just out of boredom. Someone might say "Girl you are in Greece where is always sunny and hot and stuff and you could just go out and walk around" and I would reply "Frak you, we haven't seen much of Mr Sun for over 14 days and it's fucking 5 degrees Celsius outside at noon in ATHENS!!!!!!! So no more money, no more sun, no more mild winters we are so fucked as a country. I thought than when people said that IMF destroys a country, they meant economically but that's not the case evidently. They screw with the weather too there is no other explanation. Last year (when we could more or less afford to buy heating oil) we wore summer clothes until late November and when winter finally came, we only really froze for a month or something. This year the ass freezing weather started mid October, made a brief brake mid January for a week and came back and hit us even harder...
But I was supposed to talk about tv shows.... Everyone has some shows that absolutely loves, some he/she totally hates and some he/she just tolerates for the sake of their significant other or because there is nothing else on.
This season we have our favorites House M.D., family guy, american dad, fringe, big bang theory, Game of thrones, dexter. We have the ,I'm somewhat fed up with this but I want to see what happens, "how I met your mother" (for god's sake meet her already!). The ,hubby watches it because I like it and also Nathan Fillion, "Castle". Oh oh oh the , zombies for the win but the actors suck, "the walking dead".
We also gave a try to "Alcatraz" and "Terra Nova".
Now...the first one I love it, yes it's true! It really really entertains me and that's the point isn't it? I was not expecting to find the new "Lost" or something just because it is J.J's. I did expect to find more lens flares however but he seems to have stopped doing that. Anyway, I know it happens on an island (or is it a rock? how to you americans perceive it? I have no idea) and it has people disappearing and reappearing but ( and I mean it) it just isn't Lost... maybe it could be but why should we put a perfectly good show, with decent storyline, nice cast and everything under such a stress it just isn't fair. Can't we just leave it be it's own show? Pleaaaaase stop bitching about it because, you know guys, it's fox and they could cancel it, just because and people would cry and all that.
Now can we put our hands together for the ultimate (imho) flop of the year (imho again, you can't expect me to watch every effing show you air there, with so many channels)...ladies and gentlemen... Terra Nova woooohoooooo. I really have no words... no words whatsoever. This shows sucks in so many levels and so badly that I can't really believe how it has a score of 6.8 at imdb, what are you thinking guys honestly.
For starters, when you watch a dinosaur show, you expect to actually see some, doing something, not just flying around or passing through at the background just minding their own business and of course being 19 years after Jurassic Park with the awesome made dinos, you would expect the new ones to blow your head off...Nope. Sorry. Nothing. ...hubby who's a cgi freak, searching every movie and show for examples of good cgi was calling the dinosaurs names... names that I won't repeat...
We expected to see an interesting show with dinosaurs, not a soap opera with background jungle.... and yes I still watch it, and yes I am ashamed of my self but I only thought things would change but no luck with that...we were about to drop it when they seemed to be about to adopt a baby dino but then nothing else was on so...you know...
